Launching of Environmental Management System –ISO 14001

The launching of Environmental Management System – ISO 14001 was held at ROOTS INDUSTRIES LIMITED - HORN
DIVISION on 17.06.2002. The function started with prayer followed by the welcome address by Mr. G. Ranganathan, Managing Director-Roots Industries Limited.
Shri. K. Ramasamy, Chairman Roots Groups
explained the gathering about the Roots Environmental Action Plan. Mr. V. Ganesan joint Chief Environmental Engineer, Tamilnadu Pollution Control Board released the Environmental Policy and was received by
the senior Manager, Roots Industries Limited.
The Representatives of Employees of Roots Industries took the Environmental Protection Oath. Mr. V. Ganesan appreciated the steps taken by Roots
Industries in protecting the environment.
Mr. K. Y. Rajaram country Director, UL, Mr. Dayal Naidu, CII representative, and Mr. Ravikumar DGM Manufacturing, and MR of Denso Kirloskar gave
felicitations. Mr. A. Joseph Pandiyaraj District environmental Engineer, Tamilnadu Pollution Board was the chief guest for the function.
Mr. Kavidasan, AGM – Corporate HRD gave a brief note on
environmental protection and the Role of Employees in implementing the same. Tree saplings were planted to mark the occasion. The function got over with national anthem. |
